This 4-hour classroom presentation is designed to help you better understand what human trafficking is and ways to identify it. 

Topics that will be covered include:

• What is human trafficking?
• Common vocabulary
• Victim identification
• Social Media
• Tools/resources for locating suspects/victims

Your instructor is Detective Kimberly Hernandez with the San Bernardino Police Department. Detective Hernandez has been a police officer with the San Bernardino Police Department since 2006. During her career, she has been assigned to Graffiti, Violent Crimes, Narcotics and Vice. In 2017, she was assigned to the newly expanded San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force that included Federal and local partners. She is currently assigned as a detective to the Homicide Unit.
