The Anaheim Police Department is seeking a Senior Criminal Research Specialist or Criminal Research Specialist to join their Crime Analysis Unit. In this critical role, you’ll provide high-level analytical support that directly impacts public safety and investigative success.

Key duties include:

• Analyze and track crime trends to support patrol and investigative operations
• Conduct geographic and temporal analysis to identify emerging patterns and areas of concern
• Create maps, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings
• Work closely with investigators on active cases—supporting operations with advanced research, link analysis, and cell data analysis
• Collaborate with local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement partners
• Present findings in meetings—and potentially in court
• Take the lead on creating, refining, and evaluating dashboards that measure success and drive decisions using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and SQL
