Hotel

Don't forget to get your hotels booked here. More rooms were added to our block last week.

Schedule

A draft schedule for the conference is here and posted on our website.

Nights Out Info

We are planning a Welcome Reception on Tuesday, October 4 but want to get input on if people might also be interested in doing The Dinner Detective on Wednesday, October 5 and/or going to a comedy show at The Laugh Factory on Thursday, October 6. Please let us know here if you are interested. If there is enough interest, we will get these coordinated! If not, Wednesday and Thursday evenings you will be on your own.

Extra Luncheon and/or Reception Tickets

If you are attending the conference with a spouse, friend, etc. and they are not attending the conference but would like to attend the Luncheon or Reception, extra tickets can be purchased here.

Charity

Part of the proceeds from our raffle will go to a local charity. The charity that we chose is called National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation and you can learn more about them here.

Payment

The deadline to register and pay for the conference is Friday, September 9, 2022. Please email us if this will be an issue with your agency.

SCCIAA announced that the 2022 CCIAA Conference will be held in Long Beach Oct 4th-7th.

LPR Map Update

Please keep analyst Hicks and her family in your thoughts and prayers . Hicks was recently hospitalized due to COVID and pneumonia complications. If you are able to donate to her go-fund me page to help offset costs her family is facing, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hicks is the sole analyst at the Murrieta Police Department, a current IECIAA board member, and a devoted sports momma to her two young children.

Please keep Ami and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Documentary of 2006 Riverside Murder

Members, check out a Netflix documentary released today which showcases a homicide case from Riverside PD!

On February 2006, 24-year-old Riverside resident and mother of two, Crystal Theobald was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in the Arlanza neighborhood of Riverside. The 83-minute Netflix documentary “Why Did You Kill Me?” aired worldwide today and tells the story of Crystal Theobald and how her mother used the social media site “MySpace” to help track her daughter’s killer. The Riverside Police Department’s Robbery- Homicide unit used the information provided by the family and worked relentlessly on the case until Crystal’s killer was brought to justice.
